The Daily Scoop – GGMillion$ Season 2025 Episode 19

A superb victory for Mexico-based player ‘ImWohooooooooo’ saw the player from the middle of the pack jump through the deck, overcoming the chip leader to score a brilliant win against the odds. With online poker legends such as Niklas Astedt, Chris Nguyen, and Michael Addamo all at the felt, the final table in this week’s GGMillion$ was a Tuesday night thriller.

Cates and ‘K-Mart’ on the Beat

This week’s GGMillion$ saw two co-commentators take the reins without regular host Jeff Gross, as Kevin Martin and Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates brought the Texas Hold’em action to life. Belarussian player ‘va11ero’ led the final nine with a massive 91 big blinds, with German GGMillion$ regular Christopher Nguyen (55BB) and last week’s runner-up, Polish player ‘dafaniu’ (46BB) closest to the leader.

Swedish poker player Niklas Astedt (44BB) was in the running, with Hungary’s Andras Nemeth (42BB) and Mexico-based ‘ImWohooooooooo’ (37BB) in the mood to celebrate only a little further back, as was German player Alexander Tkatschew on 36 big blinds. The record-breaking Australian GGMillion$ king Michael Addamo (20BB) and Russian player ‘IamBusinessman’ (19BB) began with smaller stacks and looked to double quickly.

The chips were passed around the table for thirty minutes before the first player was ousted from the felt, the record-breaking multiple GGMillion$ winner, Michael Addamo. The Aussie was short when he shoved with ace-four of spades on a board of K-Q-9 with two spades. It was ‘dafaniu’ who made the call, and last week’s runner-up held with ace-king offsuit. An offsuit four and ten landed on turn and river to send Addamo home with a score of $39,388 in ninth place.

From Hero to Zero

The next player to bust was last week’s near-miss heads-up player, ‘dafaniu’. The Poland-based player had sunk to seven big blinds and got it all-in with pocket fives from mid-position. Unfortunately, they ran into the marginally better stacked Andras Nemeth with pocket queens. A clean board sent the Polish player home after 7-4-4-Q-Q made Nemeth quads on the river with ‘dafaniu’ already drawing dead to an eighth-place finish worth $50,435.

The Russian player ‘IamBusinessman’ was the next player to leave, busting for $64,581 when they moved all-in with six-four on a flop of J-6-4 with two spades. ‘ImWohooooooooo’ called with ace-king of spades and after an offsuit ten on the turn, one arrived in spades on the river to reduce the field to six players.

Six became five after a monumental cooler took out the German player Alexander Tkatschew for a score of $82,695. All-in with ace-king, Tkatschew ran into the pocket aces belonging to ‘va11ero’ and got no help on the J-4-3-J-7 board. Two hands later, five were reduced to four, as Nemeth’s pocket threes were beaten by pocket fours held by ‘va11ero’. A club flush came in on the turn to end matters before the river card fell, sending the Hungarian home with $105,889 in fifth place.

Miracle River Wins Million$

With four players remaining in the hunt, ‘ImWohooooooooo’ had the lead with 5.39 million chips, as ‘va11ero’ (4.24m), Chris Nguyen (2.51m) and Niklas Astedt (1.49m) hunted down the leader. The hunt proved a fruitless battle for Astedt, as the Swede lost a big flip to Nguyen for most of his stack, then, with his last 1.5 blinds, lost another flip with pocket sevens to the ace-jack of ‘ImWohooooooooo’. The flop of 8-4-6 was followed by an ace on the turn and a queen on the river pushing Astedt to the rail, cashing for $135,589 in fourth.

Three-handed play took very little time to play out, with Chris Nguyen suckered in by an overbet on the river by the Mexico-based ‘ImWohooooooooo’. The board had fallen J-5-2-J-K, and the Mexico player shoved with jack-five. Nguyen mistakenly believed his king-seven of hearts to be ahead and made the call, losing all of his chips and cashing for $173,618 but missing out on the final battle for glory.

Heads-up, ‘ImWohooooooooo’ had a two-to-one lead, with 9.63m, to the overnight chip leader ‘va11ero’, with 4.01m chips. ‘va11ero’ did manage a big win on a board showing 7-6-5-4-4 with ace-three as ‘ImWohooooooooo’ had their pocket queens soundly beaten. That hand switched the lead, but the Mexico-based player retook the lead five hands later and, with the edge in chips, the final hand played out in dramatic fashion. Pre-flop, ‘ImWohooooooooo’ put in a min-raise which was called. That was followed by a post-flop min-bet, which ‘va11ero’ also called. The turn saw ‘ImWohooooooooo’ fire a pot-sized barrel that ‘va11ero’ called, and the board complete, showing K-9-9-4-J. The river was a miracle for ‘va11ero’ with queen-ten giving the king-high straight, it also completed a runner-runner flush for ‘ImWohooooooooo’. All the chips got in, and the GGMillion$ had a new winner, and ‘va11ero’ had an extra $222,314 in their wallet for the runner-up position.

It was an impressive win for ‘ImWohooooooooo’, as the player who came into the action sixth in chips ultimately took the $284,669 top prize, conquering the overnight chip leader heads-up in style.
